The year is slowly winding to an end and you all have learned so much. It's been great having you as my students. I hope that I have inspired you to take control of your lives and your learning. Continue to read, learn, travel, experiment, think, and make yourselves heard. Have an impact, make a difference, and have fun. Remember, the science goddess is always watching. If you're ever in Tunis, come visit me. Cheers, K. Torres

What's coming before Spring Break
Physics: Chapter 9 and 10 will be done together. Homework will include all work book problems and vairous text book problems. Don't forget that the Bridge project is due March 19. I am planning the Chapter 9 + 10 test for March 25. Grade 8 Science: We are started our study of cellular reproduction. We will be reviewing the basic information on cells and then quickly move into cellular reproduction and genetics. We will do all ROVQ's for chapter 3 and various labs and activities. We may have a test on this material before Spring Break...I'll let you know. Grade 7 Science: Don't forget that the Biome project are due on March 12. Remember we are combining chapter 1 & 2. After the projects presentations we will proceed to chapter 2 and do all ROVQ's in chapter 2 and various activities involving predator-prey relationships. The Chapter 1 & 2 test will be March 24 or 26. Grade 6 Science: We are starting a new Unit. I plan to combine section 1,2 & 3 in the notes and labs. We will quickly move through this material and do at least two labs. There will be a short chapter 1 quiz on March 18.
